Between the frigid temps and relentless wind, it's hard to do outdoor photos in the winter in Cheyenne.

Do I love the look of magical snowy photos? Yes. Am I a southern girl who would hibernate during the winter if she could? Also yes.

The Grand Conservatory at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens was the answer to all my winter woes. The lush greenery and the warm temps set the perfect stage for this GLOWING mama to celebrate her pregnancy! Arika wanted her maternity session outside, but also wanted to be comfortable in a gorgeous gown, sans parka. This was the best of both worlds.

We started in a flowy and whimsical dress by Baltic Born.

As she was getting ready to change outfits....

The misters came on, and created a dreamy and serene fog. Look at this magic! The perfect moment for a dance and twirl.

It was important to Arika and Chuck to have images that felt "like them." Comfy, cozy, casual. Unfiltered. The unbuttoned jeans and white shirt look showed off her gorgeous bump, and their love for each other, so well. We explored the many levels of the conservatory and got some amazing shots.

Her last look was elegant and sophisticated.

The deep shadows of the foliage were an amazing juxtaposition against her bright and neutral gown. Her confidence and beauty really shone through in this sequence... these are some of my favorite images to date.

We couldn't do a Wyoming winter maternity session without playing in the snow, just for a moment.

As a storm was rolling in, we went out into the park to capture these gorgeous snowy images. After all, she's a Wyoming girl at heart!

These Two 😍

I just love their love for one another. Their daughter is going to be one lucky little girl! I can't wait to be by their side as they welcome her into the world in a few short weeks.

xoxo
